A bespoke solution for a hydroelectric Challenge

The client’s need

To monitor dam operations in real time, detect anomalies quickly, and ensure immediate response to minimise potential risks.

Our solution

We designed a system ensuring secure and reliable communication between the dam and the control room, using the client’s existing optical fibre network.

This challenge was successfully met through our high-security equipment dedicated to remote control-command and analogue transmission. Our products combine a MTBF of 25 years, integrated redundancy, and advanced self-monitoring mechanisms for continuous operation.

A new range of Ethernet switches

Designed to meet the growing demands for performance and cybersecurity, these three new hardened models mark a key step. Notably in the widespread adoption of 10 Gigabit across our entire offering.

Compact, they are available in several versions:

• INET10X++: equipped with 8 PoE++ 90W ports.
• INET4X++: featuring 2 PoE++ 90W ports.
• INET6X: including 4 Gigabit copper ports.

These IP switches integrate secure interfaces (HTTPS, SNMPv3, SSH) and enhanced authentication protocols (802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+), and are already compliant with the European Cyber Resilience Act, thus offering you maximum peace of mind in terms of cybersecurity.

Two advanced Gigabit Ethernet mini media converters

These two ultra-compact media converters integrate advanced functions such as Optical PoE Control (OPC) mode, an IFOTEC innovation on the PoE++ 90W version, facilitating the operation of video surveillance networks. Not forgetting the FEF (Far-End Fault) and LFP (Link Fault Pass-Through) functionalities. In addition, they are certified for railway environments.

GO2S 2019, 10 Year Anniversary Conference, 11^th– 12^th February 2019 Sensors: Fiber Beyond Telecoms The 9th edition of the Guided Optic & Sensor Systems (GO2S®) conference promotes convergence between actors in the field of optical fiber in sensor applications. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the GO2S initiative, the conference will be held exceptionally in Paris, conference center Pierre Mendès France, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Bercy. The GO2S initiative created in 2008 by Andre Champavere, then President of the Association ARUFOG (Association for the Research and Use of Fiber Optic and Guided Optics) focuses on the new applications of optical fiber as a sensor or a sensor network.
