Description
Mini Giga PoE++90W is a hardened media converter that enables Gigabit Ethernet transmission over one or two optical fibres via the insertion of an SFP, converting Ethernet signals from the electrical port to the SFP port and vice versa.
100 Mbps compatible Gigabit Ethernet media converter
- 1 RJ45 port, 100/1000 Mbps PoE++ compatible with EEE 802.3af (PoE), IEEE 802.3at (PoE+)
and IEEE 802.3bt type 3 and type 4 (PoE++).
The RJ45 PoE++ PSE (Power Supply Equipment) port can supply up to 90W to a PoE

The SFP port on the converter automatically adjusts its speed to 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps based on the DDMI data provided by the SFP module. A forced configuration mode is also available by activating a DIP switch on the front panel of the unit. The speed is synchronized and identical on both the Ethernet and SFP ports.
Advanced Features
The Mini Giga PoE++ 90W module incorporates three advanced management modes, configurable via two additional DIP switches, to ensure optimal performance and facilitate link diagnostics.
• OPC (Optical PoE Control): Controls the PoE power supply based on the status of the optical link.
• FEF (Far-End Fault): Activates in the event of a failure on one of the optical links.
• LFP (Link Fault Pass-Through): Activates in the event of a failure on one of the copper links.
Easy to install and use
- Its miniature (105 x 25 x 77.5 mm) and robust (painted aluminium) housing allows it to fit into small housings
- Mini Giga can easily be fitted into electronic assemblies (equipped cabinets) intended, for example, for video protection based on IP cameras
- The RJ45 port, SFP port and dipswitch are located on the same side for easy connection of the module
- This product can also be mounted on any support with its plate or by adding a mounting kit for a Din rail (optional).

- Operating indicators, grouped on the front panel, are associated with the main functions of the product for diagnostic product functions for diagnostic purposes.
Power supply
- The converter’s DC power input allows it to simultaneously supply the energy required for its own operation and for a PoE PD (Powered Device).
- To ensure the proper functioning of the PoE++ feature (up to 90 W), the supply must be between 44 and 57 VDC (recommended nominal value: 54 VDC). In the absence of PoE power, the converter can be powered over an extended range from 9 to 57 VDC.
