RS232/422/485 transmission on SFP modules

IFOTEC revolutionises its range and launches the RSData module designed to operate in harsh environments. Its SFP ports allow it to be used in point-to-point, repeater or ring mode.

The RSData module enables a RS232, RS422, RS485, 2 or 4 wire signal to be transferred over an optical fibre according to different installation configurations by inserting one or two optical 100Mbps SFP modules : See our wide range of SFPs .

RSData: 1 single product 3 possible configurations

• In point-to-point configuration, only two RSData modules are connected via fibre optics.
• In a repeater configuration, data is propagated over all RSData modules connected in series by the
  fibre optics.
• In the ring configuration, the link between the modules is maintained in case of an optical fibre breakage or equipment failure. The length of the optical ring is limited only by the maximum distance between two pieces of equipment.

INet4S Compact and rugged 4-port manageable Gigabit Ethernet switch

The INet IFOTEC range is strengthened with the arrival of a new industrial, manageable Gigabit Ethernet switch with 2 RJ45 ports and 2 SFP ports: INet4S.

This is positioned between the unmanaged 4-port switch, INet4 and INet4 + PoE +, a manageable version with security features, 2 PoE + PSE ports and 1 contact closure input output.

For a lower budget, INet4S is perfect to be used on highly secure networks and to connect 1 to 2 non-PoE PD IP devices (IP camera, WiFi access point, voice over IP telephone, sensor, etc.).

• 4 ports including 2 ports on SFP modules, ideal for creating a ring and securing an optical network

IFOTEC presents its new manageable Gigabit Ethernet switch INet4+ equipped with :

• 2 copper ports 10/100/1000 Mbit/s PoE+
• 2 optical ports 100/1000 Mbit/s on SFP modules
  Integrated in compact housing, it can easily be placed inside a small space. This product is designed to work in a harsh environment.

Key points

• PoE+:
  In compliance with the PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) IEE 802.3at standard, INet4+ provides the function of PSE (Power over Sourcing Equipment) and can provide power to the PD (powered device) peripheral devices with up to 35W via the Ethernet cable.
• This switch has an input/output contact closure:
  The control and rise of a dry contact is used to issue an alarm or to detect the opening of a cabinet, for example.
• Each port can be independently controlled using the Ethernet level 2 functions (VLAN).
  The various management interfaces make it simple to automate product monitoring.
• It supports many software features available depending on the firmware installed (TELNET, IGMP Snooping, etc.).
