RATP chooses IFOTEC solution

In the context of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Île-de-France Mobilité (It manages all the major transport modernisation programmes in the Île-de-France region) wants to start a transport revolution in order to make transport more accessible, more efficient and more sustainable.

It’s to meet this objective that the RATP has chosen the IFOTEC Mini Giga solution for its project of deploying Syspad screens (Service Display Panel System) on the platforms of 31 RER B stations. More than 400 of our equipments will be delivered to ensure the transmission of the information via the preferred media which is the optical fibre !

The Mini Giga in a few words

It is an industrial and rugged Gigabit Ethernet media converter with 1 RJ45 port and 1 optical port on SFP module.
Key points to remember:

The 25000th CPEFibre has just been produced for the SIEA’s Li@n network (Ain) ! IFOTEC has always worked for the reduction of digital divide and the reinforcement of the attractiveness of the territories by designing solutions for the activation, multi-operator multi-service of #FTTx networks.

Our CPEFibre Gigabit Ethernet modules, installed at the subscriber’s premises or in the immediate vicinity, provide very high speed access for businesses (FTTO/FTTH access) or individuals (FTTH) that can be shared between four independent operators.

The CPEFibre module is not only a product but a broadband access system for the subscriber that includes fibre management functions for the connection.

After the success of its 100Mbps mini media converter, IFOTEC launches the Mini Giga

Plug and play, it adapts to your needs

Mini Giga has been designed like all products in the Ethernet range to be as compact as possible. It can thus be easily integrated into outdoor network interface boxes dedicated to video surveillance applications, for example, or traffic management.

The new IFOTEC media converter is particularly suitable for hostile environments since it can be used without problem in electrically disturbed environments or in severe environments with temperatures between -40 ° C and + 75 ° C.

Mini Giga is equipped with an RJ45 port and a cage for copper or optical SFP module. The wide range of IFOTEC SFPs allows users to connect the IFOTEC media converter to both multimode and singlemode fiber and choose the wavelength appropriate to their need.

With an extended power supply from 9 to 60VDC, the same module can be used both in applications requiring, for example, a 12VDC voltage as in applications requiring a 48VDC voltage.
